In many parts of Mwanza, the cost of education goes beyond school fees. For girls, the lack of basic supplies—like socks, books, or sanitary pads—can lead to heartbreaking choices.

One grandmother shared:

“My granddaughter dropped out in Form Two. She didn’t have what she needed—no socks, no exercise books. She was lured into a relationship. Sometimes, it’s the parents who cause this. When we can’t provide what girls need at home or school, it becomes easy for them to accept offers that lead to bad relationships.”

This story reflects a painful reality: poverty and gender inequality often push girls out of school and into unsafe situations. TAHEA Mwanza works to change this through school support programs, parenting education, and safe spaces that protect girls and keep them learning.

👉 Action Step: Help keep girls in school by supporting TAHEA Mwanza’s education and protection programs. Your contribution provides essentials like books, uniforms, and mentorship—so no girl has to trade her future for survival.
