Helen (4 years old) attends the Mwalimu Nyerere ECD Center.
I go to school, I play, I play with my friends, our school has a lot of play materials and very caring Caregivers, we drink very nutritious porridge, and we learn in a very beautiful environment.
At my uncle’s place, there are many children who would like to go to school like me, but they cannot because there is no school for children of my age; there is a school for older children.
At my uncle’s place, there are many children. I cannot remember all their names. One is Keleja, who is a girl, she only speaks the Sukuma language. The other one is Pili, who is also a girl, she speaks Swahili like me, so we play together when I visit with my parents.
I do not like to stay at my uncle’s place for a long time because they eat ugali every day, at our home we eat ugali, rice, fish, meat, beans, and fruits.
I do not like the vegetables that they cook. When I ask my mother why they cook bad food, she tells me shhhhhi!!!, don’t speak loudly (Story narrated by a Caregiver).
